The San Francisco 49ers are hoping to make history in Super Bowl 58.
Kyle Shanahan has the chance to tie the record for a franchise with the most Super Bowl wins when his squad takes on the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in the championship.
Patrick Mahomes and company can make their mark on history, too. With a win, the Chiefs will capture their third title in five years − joining the dynasty ranks.
Other teams that have had the title "dynasty" bestowed upon them include the 49ers, New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers.

New England Patriots — 6 Super Bowls

Bill Belichick and Tom Brady won six Super Bowl titles in their mega dynasty run. It started in 2001 when the sixth-round pick replaced an injured Drew Bledsoe. The team won three championships in four years. They had a decade-long gap before capturing their next Lombardi Trophy and won three in five seasons.
Pittsburgh Steelers — 6 Super Bowls
Super Bowl 9, Super Bowl 10, Super Bowl 13, Super Bowl 14, Super Bowl 40, Super Bowl 43
The Steelers of the 1970s are a who's who of football greats. Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris and Lynn Swann powered the offense, while the Steel Curtain defensive line of Joe Greene, L.C. Greenwood, Dwight White and Ernie Holmes bolstered the defense. Three decades later, Ben Roethlisberger, Hines Ward and Troy Polamalu earned Super Bowl victory twice more.
San Francisco 49ers — 5 Super Bowls
Super Bowl 16, Super Bowl 19, Super Bowl 23, Super Bowl 24, Super Bowl 29
Joe Montana won four Super Bowls for the 49ers, including back-to-back titles with fellow Hall of Famer Jerry Rice. When the quarterback retired after a stint with the Chiefs, Steve Young stepped in and earned the franchise its last title to date.
Dallas Cowboys — 5 Super Bowls
Super Bowl 6, Super Bowl 12, Super Bowl 27, Super Bowl 28, Super Bowl 30
Roger Staubach helped put the star on the map with the Cowboys' first two Super Bowl wins in the 1970s. Then, Jimmy Johnson ushered in a new era of greatness in the 1990s with "The Triplets." Few offenses have been as dominant in NFL history as Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin.
New York Giants — 4 Super Bowls
Super Bowl 21, Super Bowl 25, Super Bowl 42, Super Bowl 46
Bill Parcells and Phil Simms teamed up for the franchise's first two championships. Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin brought the Giants back to glory with two more titles. Super Bowl 42 featured one of the greatest highlights in Super Bowl history: David Tyree's helmet catch.
Green Bay Packers — 4 Super Bowls
Super Bowl 1, Super Bowl 2, Super Bowl 31, Super Bowl 45
The Vince Lombardi Trophy is named after the head coach who won the first two Super Bowls. The Packers had a 29-year gap before hoisting the trophy again in Super Bowl 31 with Brett Favre under center. Aaron Rodgers brought the hardware home its most recent time.
Teams with 3 Super Bowls
There are four teams who have won three Super Bowl titles.
The Broncos won back-to-back titles with Super Bowl 32 and 33 behind Hall of Famers John Elway and Terrell Davis. They also won Super Bowl 50 with Peyton Manning at quarterback and Von Miller leading the defense.
Washington won Super Bowls 17, 22 and 26 with head coach Joe Gibbs, quarterback Joe Theismann and Hall of Fame wide receiver Art Monk in an impressive run during the 1980s. Their dominant offensive line earned the name "The Hogs."
The Raiders have called three cities home and have just as many Super Bowl titles. They won Super Bowl 11 under John Madden and then Super Bowls 15 and 18 with Tom Flores, the first Hispanic head coach in NFL history.
Kansas City won Super Bowl 4 and then had a 50-year drought before Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Andy Reid stormed onto the scene. The Chiefs won Super Bowl 54 and Super Bowl 57 to create the foundation for a modern dynasty.

The Rams have won two Super Bowls in franchise history. When they were in St. Louis, they won Super Bowl 34 with Kurt Warner at the helm and then won Super Bowl 56 in Los Angeles when they captured victory on their own turf.
Miami won back-to-back championships with Super Bowl 7 and Super Bowl 8. The first title in 1972 marked the only undefeated season in NFL history.
The Colts also have two Super Bowls in franchise history. Their first title came when they were in Baltimore and captured Super Bowl 5. Then, behind Peyton Manning, the Colts won their lone title in Indianapolis with Super Bowl 41.
